Yes, this song was co-written by Isaac Hayes. Also covered by B.B. King, King Curtis, Joe Cocker, and others, Phish performed this unlikely cover three times, all done within the space of a week. The debut on 4/24/93 came after a standard "Caravan" in the first set, whereas the other two - 4/25/93 and 4/30/93 - appeared as encores, both times preceding an a capella tune. Though Trey solos soulfully in these covers, the band just wasn't quite suited for the "soul vocalist" genre at the time, and the tune was dropped from rotation.
