The first set has great selections and a fun flow, kicking off with a pretty fierce Llama. The Mound is executed pretty cleanly and the Disease has typical 94 firepower. Fluffhead is always a nice middle to any set, and the Jesus Left Chicago features Page doing the thing. Stash is here the improv meat of the set, a really nice version that deserves its Jam Chart inclusion.
Second set starts promisingly with Curtain but a >Sample is a bummer for me. The set doesn't get its rage status until the Mike's Groove, thanks to a seriously awesome Simple that should be heard by all, featuring some great bubbly full band type II and a clean -> Mango. The same goes for the big dark Weekapaug: GREAT. This section gives the show reservationless relisten value. The Henrietta performance is good, especially the vacuum solo which is as good as any. The acoustic numbers before a nice type I raging Antelope to close the night put the bow on the thing. The Back in the USSR encore is fun but short. This would be the only time played after Halloween and before the next trip to Glen Falls in 2013 so it's pretty special in hindsight.
I want to give this show a 3.5 but because i am a fluffer will go ahead and call it a 4. The Simple is my favorite thing here and it really is a keeper, as is the Stash and Weekapaug. Great catches by the jamchart crew!
